What Inspires Us

Taking an advantage of the fact that there were a few cooler days this week and being inspired by Louis Vuitton fall 2010 collection (which is one of my favourite for upcoming season) I wanted to recreate one of the looks. Last week I found this amazing dress at a second hand store and I couldn't leave that shop without it. Look at this beautiful rose pattern. Now it wasn't that hard to play with 50's style shown at LV show.
Even when 50's long A-line skirts are not the perfect ones for young girls it's not hard to interpretate the trend and modernize it a little bit by using a shorter version of that skirt.

Korzystając z okazji, że w tym tygodniu było kilka chłodniejszych dni i będąc zainspirowaną kolekcją Louis Vuitton na jesień 2010 (która jest jedną z moich ulubionych na nadchodzący sezon) chciałam odtworzyć jeden ze strojów tam zaprezentowanych. W ostatnim tygodniu znalazłam tą piękną sukienkę w jednym z second-handów i nie mogłam wrócić do domu bez niej. Spójrzcie na ten piękny różany wzór materiału, z którego została zrobiona. Teraz to nie był problem pobawić się stylem lat 50'tych pokazanym na pokazie LV.
Nawet jeśli długie spódnice z lat 50'tych o lini A nie są idealne dla młodych dziewczyn, to nie problem zinterpretować ten trend i troszkę go zmodernizować, zakładając krótszą wersję tej spódnicy.

I love everything about it: that music, that charming location, the designs, that Marc Jacobs invited models in different age to be a part of the show..
The models moves are full of grace. Well, but it's all about celebrating the feminity ;)

Uwielbiam w nim wszystko: tą muzykę, tą czarującą lokalizację, projekty, to, że Marc Jacobs do udziału w pokazie zaprosił modelki w różnym wieku, zarówno szczuplejsze, jak i te o pełniejszych kształtach.
Ruchy modelek są pełne wdzięku. No, ale przede wszystkim chodzi tu o celebrowanie kobiecości;)

Yes, yes, your eyes are not lying. It was snowing again. We still have winter in Poland, even when some days were warmer and beautiful. Tomorrow we are going to Gdansk. I adore that city.

Tak, tak, twoje oczy nie kłamią. Znowu padał śnieg. Wciąż mamy u nas w Polsce zimę, mimo, że niektóre dni były już cieplesze. Jutro wybieramy się do Gdańska. Uwielbiam to miasto.

Another Classy style

I found that sweater in the second-hand store a while ago and it became my 'all time favourite' item. I love everything about it.. color, shape... It's just pure perfection.
A few days ago I did a small interviev for lula.pl which you can read here. Thank you Lula:). Unfortunately it's only in polish, but still you can have a look and comment if you want to. Referring to that there were a lot of comments asking me why I wear such a simple ensembles etc. So I wanted to write about it. This is how I am and how my style is. I was searching for a while to find a perfect style for me to feel good in. Not everyone has to dress up in a crazy way (which is of course nothing bad, everyone preffers different styles). My style is quite classic and I think that this is what match me perfectly. I am not the person who is buing a lot of things every week. I love classic items like shirts, jeans or nice blazers eg. I hardly ever take off my watch, have my favourite pair of earrins which I wear a lot. I like to save money to buy something better quality, something what I was dreaming about, like nice watch, sunglasses or a good bag. Something what will be timeless.

Sweterek znalazłam jakiś czas temu w second-hand'zie i od razu stał się moim ulubionym. Krój, kolor.. jest czystą perfekcją.

Kilka dni temu udzieliłam mini wywiadu dla Lula.pl , który możecie przeczytać tutaj. Dziękuję bardzo Luli. Oczywiście zapraszam do komentowania:). Nawiązując do komentarzy, wiele osób pytało, a może stwierdzało, że tak prosto się ubieram, że co w tym jest wyjątkowego. Chciałam to wyjaśnić. To jest to jaka jestem, i jaki jest mój styl. Od dłuższego czasu poszukiwałam stylu, który by idealnie do mnie pasował, w którym czułabym się swodobnie i który dostosowany jest do mojego wieku. Nie każdy musi ubierać się w szalony sposób (co oczywiście nie jest złe, każdy preferuje coś innego). Mój styl jest dość klasyczny i myślę, że to jest to, co do mnie idealnie pasuje. Nie jestem osobą, która każdego tygodnia kupuje tonę rzeczy. Uwielbiam rzeczy klasyczne: koszule, jeansy, fajne marynarki itd. Rzadko kiedy ściągam mój zegarek, mam ulubioną parę kolczyków, które ciągle noszę. Lubię też oszczędzać, by kupić coś lepszej jakości, coś o czym marzyłam, jak zegarek, okulary słoneczne czy dobra torebka. Coś co będzie ponadczasowe.
