I know, it took me quite a bit of time to finally shoot some pictures with this gorgeous top from Ivy Revel, that I won at Kenza's blog a while ago:) But I wanted it to be perfect and of course styled different, than Kenza style it, to show how versatile piece it is.

I kind of fell in love with an idea of styling it in the way of creating a beautiful white jumpsuit (even though those are two separate pieces). Simple, and chic- reminding me of Stella McCartney creations.

I also wore it with white shorts in warmer days.

Haha, in all the rush that day, my old hollywood waves got a bit messed up, but I hope you still can see some trace of it;)

Painted palm trees reminded me of my Californian adventure last year, this time of the summer. Oh, how wonderful was exploring the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, looking at the sky and seeing palm trees, dipping feet in the water and shopping in Beverly Hills. If I were there right now- I would definitely wear that outfit.

Wiem, wiem, dość długo zajęło mi sfotografowanie wygranej u Kenzy na blogu :) Chciałam jednak, by wszystko pasowało idealnie i było zestawione w inny sposób, niż robiła to Kenza, żeby pokazać jak uniwersalny jest ten top.

Tak jakby 'zakochałam się' w pomyśle o wystylizowaniu go na wzór pięknego białego kombinezonu (nawet jeśli sładają się na niego dwa elementy). Minimalistycznie i szykownie- przypominając kreacje Stelli McCartney.

W cieplejsze dni, noszę tą bluzkę rónież z białymi szortami.

Haha, przez cały pośpiech tamtego dnia, moje starohollywoodzkie fale, już nie są zbyt hollywoodzkie;) Mam jednak nadzieję, że coś tam jeszcze dostrzegacie.

Malowane palmy przypomniały mi o mojej kalifornijskiej przygodzie rok temu, w tej porze lata. Jak cudownie było odkrywać takie miasta, jak Los Angeles i San Diego, patrząc w niebo i widząc palmy. Jak fajnie było moczyć nogi w tamtejszej wodzie i robiąc małe zakupy w Beverly Hills. Jeśli byłabym tam teraz- zdecydowanie założyłabym ten strój:)

Trends come and go. But there's always one style that I have crush on, every single season ( I think until the end of my life;)- this retro style of 50's combined with modern elements.
I was trying to picture this dress for an evening outing to the city. It turned out that this color of yellow doesn't look that good in the lights of lanterns combined with shadows of the night.
But hey, I didn't give up! All of the sudden I had on my mind this vision. Me, blue sky, summer, smell of perfume, friends, endless carefree time and this dress. Plus ice cream;)!  I could wake up in the morning, take a shower, do my favourite cat eye make up, while listening to music, spray Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume on. Is it coincidence that my all time favourite lipstick is called 'Mademoiselle' too?
But this time, I used the same shade of lipstick that Audrey Hepburn used in Breakfast at Tiffany's : Revlon's 'Pink in the Afternoon'.
It is hard to tell, because sun  softened colors of every picture, but you can see the shade here . This is how it looks on the lips :click

P.S This dress reminds me of famous Prada show in 2010, with high ponytails and A- line dresses. I loved it!



Trendy przychodzą i odchodzą. Jest jednak jeden styl, który wielbię od zawsze, każdego sezonu
( i już chyba na zawsze, zawsze;)- retro styl lat 50'tych, połączony z elementami współczesności.

Próbowałam wyobrazić sobie tę sukienkę jako element wieczornego wyjścia na miasto. Okazało się, że ten odcień żółtego nie wygląda dobrze w oświetlonych ulicach , pomieszanych z cieniami nocy.
Jednak, hej, nie poddałam się! Nagle przyszła mi do głowy kolejna wizja. Ja, niebieskie niebo, lato, zapach perfum, przyjaciele, niekończący się beztroski czas i ta sukienka. Plus lody;)! Mogłabym obudzić się rano, wziąć prysznic, zrobić makijaż w postaci ukochanych kocich oczu, słuchając muzyki, a wszystko "przypieczętować" spryskując się odrobiną zapachu Chanel- Coco Mademoiselle. Czy to przypadek, że mój 'kosmetyk wszech czasów', to szminka , której odcień również nazywa się"Mademoiselle"? Może to jednak zgrany duet;)?

Tym razem jednak użyłam pomadki w identycznym kolorze, jak Audrey Hepburn w filmie "Śniadanie u Tiffany'ego": "Pink in the Afternoon" Revlon'a.
Ciężko to zobaczyć na zdjęciach, przez dosyć ostre słońce, które zmiękczyło barwy każdego zdjęcia, jednak jej odcień możecie zobaczyć tu.

P.S Sukienka ta przypomina mi o sławnym pokazie Prady z 2010 roku, gdzie modelki miały na sobie podobne ubrania, połączone z wysokimi kucykami. Ostatnio jestem ich dużą fanką;)

Bow that I saw in the Old Hollywood Movies

 Being charmed by Old Hollywood movies and still having elegant New York in my head, I made this ribbon bow to wear  with the buttoned up shirt.
That day I felt like there is nothing better, than laying on the grass with your best friends, laughing, drinking coca-cola from the glass bottle and catching one of the last last Autumn sun rays, before the winter arrival. Looking at the sky and dreaming.

Finally, I traded my beloved Guess watch to the one I wanted to get for a few years, the one by Michael Kors. I feel as if there is nothing better, than a  woman, wearing some things from the men's wardrobe. Try to imagine a beautiful woman with long, shiny hair in a men's shirt, a little bit oversized, tucked into her cigarette skinny jeans, paired with men's style watch and high heeled ankle boots. For me, it's a pure perfection. Change the image in your head, replacing that oversized shirt to an oversized cashmere men's sweater, so soft when you are touching it, that it immediately brings out the memory of your childhood.
Or can a woman look any better in the morning? Getting her make up done, wearing a shirt liberated from the men's wardrobe?

Będąc oczarowana starohollywodzkimi filmami i nadal mając w głowie elegancki Nowy Jork, zrobiłam kokardkę ze wstążeczki, by założyć ją do zapiętej pod szyję koszuli, w stylu lat 60'tych.
Tego dnia czułam, że nie ma nic lepszego, jak leżenie na trawie i łapanie ostatnich jesiennych promieni słońca, przed przybyciem Zimy.

W końcu, zamieniłam mój ukochany zegarek Guess'a, na inny, o którym od dawna marzyłam, zaprojektowany przez Michaela Korsa.

Mam wrażenie, że kobieta wygląda cudownie w niektórych rzeczach, zapożyczonych z męskiej garderoby. Spróbujcie wyobrazić sobie piękną kobietę, z długimi, błyszczącymi włosami, w męskiej koszuli, delikatnie schowanej do jej jeansowych rurek, połączonych z zegarkiem w męskim stylu i botkach na wysokim obcasie. Przestawcie obraz w waszych głowach, zamieniając koszulę na odrobinę luźno leżący męski kaszmirowy sweterek, tak miękki w dotyku, że natychmiastowo przypominają się czasy dzieciństwa.

Czy kobieta może wyglądać lepiej o poranku, malując się i przygotowując do wyjścia, niż mając na sobie męską koszulę?

Studded Goodies from Beverly Hills

While I was exploring Beverly Hills with my friends (and doing some little shopping), I found this amazing studded clutch at Forever21 store;)
Well, I like this trend, I can't deny:)

What would you say about pairing this clutch with burgundy sweater, skinny jeans in a shade of classic blue and and some nice ankle high heel boots for a little coffee outing?

I found that leather bow bracelet with golden studs  at Macy's in BCBG jewerlery counter. I wear it almost every single day!
Do you like this whole 'studs thing'?



Podczas odkrywania Beverly Hills ( i małych zakupów), znalazłam świetną kopertówkę z ćwiekami w Forever21, którą widzicie na zdjęciu.
Muszę się przyznać, że całkiem podoba mi się ten trend;)

Co powiedzie na zestawienie tej torebki ze sweterkiem, w kolorze czerwonego wina, rurkami w odcieniu klasycznego jeansu i botkami na wysokim obcasie na małe wyjście do kawiarni;)?

Skórzana bransoletka z kokardką i złotymi ćwiekami pochodzi z Macy's, z działu z biżuterią BCBG. Noszę ją na ręku prawie codziennie!
Jak wam się podoba "ćwiekowy tend"?

Retro Cars

Although cars are not a big passion of mine, I always dreamed about having a retro one, like Mustang from the pictures above. Baby blue or red convertible- it doesn't matter, as long as they are from the 60's! There is something magic about them. That's why I couldn't resist going to the Motor Show last weekend to see them in reality, as you don't see that kind of cars too often on the streets. I even created my own theory about Mustang;)...
Imagine yourself riding in this car: summertime, sun rays on your cheeks, wind in the hair. So relaxing!
There are also a few shots of other cars from the past. The one that Dita von Teese would drive with pleasure or the one you can picture with famous scene from Titanic;)!
I hope you enjoy looking at these "wild horses"!
P.S If you look closely at the first picture, you can spot a "Marilyn Monroe" wearing a dress in a style of the famous one from the movie "The Seven Year Itch". There were also some pin-up girls and old cameras, so you could take a picture with Mustang in the spirit of the 60's. Great idea!

Mimo, że samochody nie są moją pasją, zawsze marzyłam o posiadaniu takiego w stylu retro, jak Mustang ze zdjęć powyżej. Błękitny, czy czerwony convertible- nie ważne tak długo, jak jest z lat 60'tych! Jest w nich coś magicznego. Właśnie dlatego nie mogłam się powstrzymać przed odwiedzeniem targów Motor Show, podczas ostatniego weekendu, by zobaczyć je w rzeczywistości. Nieczęsto można je spotkać na ulicy. Stworzyłam nawet własną teorię na temat Mustangów;)...
Wyobraźcie sobie jazdę tym samochodem: lato, promienie słońca, muskające wasze policzki, wiatr we włosach.
Wstawiłam też kilka ujęć innych samochodów z przeszłości. Jeden, który Dita von Teese prowadziłaby z przyjemnością i drugi, który możecie połączyć ze słynną sceną z Titanica;)!..
Mam nadzieję, że wam również spodobały się te "dzikie konie"!
P.S Jeśli spojrzycie uważnie na pierwsze zdjęcie, zobaczycie, że z tyłu stoi "Marilyn Monroe", ubrana sukienkę w stylu tej najsłynniejszej, z filmu "Słomiany Wdowiec". Były tam również dziewczyny przebrane za pin-up girls, stare kamery, by robiąc sobie zdjęcie z Mustangami, w pełni oddać klimat lat, w których samochody te miały czasu swojej świetlności. Świetny pomysł;)!

Something really simple, as I like it the most. This dress reminds me of the ones worn in the 60's. I felt like fuchsia lipstick would be a perfect complement to this ensemble. How do you think?

Coś prostego i minimalistycznego- tak, jak najbardziej lubię. Sukienka krojem przypomina mi te, które noszone były w latach 60'tych. Pomyślałam, że szminka w kolorze fuksji będzie pięknie komplementowała stonowaną kolorystykę tego stroju, ożywiając go odrobinę. Jak myślicie?

A Gift from Paris

My best friend an brother came back from France a few days ago and brought me some french magazines. This editorial with Magdalena Frackowiak in Brigitte Bardot style is definitely one of my favourite this month. You probably know it already, but in case you don't- this is a small teaser. Perfect way to work on my language reading and looking through the pages of Elle and Vogue, while sipping delicious white tea with violets.

I guess you already know that I'm kind of obssessed about stripes. I think it's all because of my 'retro times' interest. I didn't even know that I am going to take any pictures this day and It was time to relax at the sun, surrounded by nature..but it was such a beautiful weather, that I couldn't resist taking a few shots and show you:) I had a tube of red lipstick in my bag and cat-eye sunglasses, so I was able to add a little bit of retro-glamour to my ensemble.
Look at this little squirell fellow climbing up the tree! How cute is it?

Tak, tak, mam lekką obsesję na punkcie pasków- to wszystko przez moje zainteresowanie "retro czasami";)! Nie wiedząc o tym, że będę tego dnia robić jakiekolwiek zdjęcia, przygotowana byłam tylko na odpoczynek, otoczona naturą i promieniami słońca.. jednak nie mogłam się powstrzymać przed zrobieniem kilku przy tak pięknej pogodzie, żeby je później wam pokazać;) W torebce schowane miałam ulubione okulary w kształcie kocich oczu i czerwoną szminkę, więc mogłam dodać odrobinę retro-glamouru do mojego stroju, by było ciekawiej.
Spójrzcie na mojego nowego kolegę wiewiórkę! Spotkanie jej sprawiło, że uśmiech nie schodził mi z twarzy przez cały dzień- małe, a jak cieszy:)

In the Spirit of Marilyn Monroe

Sequin dresses. They perfectly reflect the light, gently sparling under the layer of it. Marilyn Monroe was a big fan of shiny, sequin dresses. She loved getting all the attention at the parties she decited to go to and this was one of the ways to do it. I've seen so many pictures of her wearing it. Also that kind of dresses were captured in some of my favourite movies and most recent Armani video ad with Karolina Kurkova.
It makes me think about warm, parisian evenings, walking down the street. Well, no wonder- there is a reason why it's called 'The City of lights'. Only if I could turn this vision into reality..;)

Cekinowe sukienki. Idealnie odbijają światło, delikatnie błyszcząc pod jego osłoną. Jedną z fanek świecących sukienek była Marilyn Monroe. Uwielbiała w ten sposób zwracać całą uwagę na siebie, na imprezach, na które uczęszczała. Widziałam wiele jej zdjęć, gdy miała na sobie tego typu sukienkę. Były one również uchwycone w niektórych z moich ulubionych filmów i w ostatniej reklamie Armaniego, gdzie modelką była Karolina Kurkova.
To wszystko sprawia, że myślę o ciepłych, paryskich wieczorach, przechadzając się jego ulicami. Nie bez powodu Paryż nazwany jest "Miastem Świateł". Gdybym tylko mogła teraz moją wizję zmienić w rzeczywistość..;)

Girl in The Red Dress

I remember wearing this dress during my last night in Paris this May. Exploring the city of light, drinking last hot chocolate in one of the cafeterias.
Now wearing it with shearling collar jacket, opaque black tights and lacquer high heels.
It's so unreal that we still don't have any snow in Poland!

J'adore

Just something casual. During the summer I was not into black black at all, so now I really enjoy wearing it. Knee high boots, my favourite bag and the silver bracelet and a splash of my favourite perfume. Anyway what's your favourite scent? It's almost Christmas and it always reminds me of perfumeries full of people, choosing some presents for their beloved.
The last photo shows me holding my favourite cupcake with raspberry jam inside. You have to try it- it's delicious.

Coś zupełnie na luzie. Podczas lata nie nosiłam czerni prawie wcale, więc teraz sprawia mi to wielką przyjemność. Czarne kozaki do kolan, moja ulubiona już torebka, srebrna bransoletka, a wszystko wykończone odrobiną ulubionych perfum. Jaki jest wasz ulubiony zapach? Już prawie Święta, a one zawsze przypominają mi o perfumeriach pełnych ludzi, wybierających prezent dla swoich ukochanych, rodziny.
Na ostatnim zdjęciu trzymam jedną z moich ulubionych babeczek z malinowym dżemem w środku. Musicie ich spróbować- są przepyszne.

Black and White

Well it's not so warm in Poland now, so after taking these few picures I ran to a small cafeteria to warm myself up with a hot cup of my favourite green tea with jasmine petals. I met there a 3 years old boy, playing with crayons. He came to me, gave me one crayon as a present and kept smiling and staring at me. When his parents took him, he started crying- I guess this young gentleman was a fan of red lips;)
This dress reminded me of Chanel aesthetics with its black&white ensembles. I have some pictures in my head of mademoiselle Coco, who loved dressing up in these colors.

Po zrobieniu tych kilku zdjęć, pobiegłam do małej kawiarenki, żeby się rozgrzać, popijajać moją ulubioną zieloną herbatę z jaśminem. Spotkałam tam małego, 3-letniego chłopczyka, bawiącego się kredkami. Przybiegł do mnie, dał mi jedną kredkę w prezencie i uśmiechał się, cały czas się na mnie patrząc. Kiedy rodzice chcieli już go zabrać do domu, zaczął płakać- chyba ten mały dżentelmen był fanem czerwonej szminki na ustach;)
Ta sukienka przypomina mi o estetyce, uwielbianą przez Chanel- ze swoimi czarno-białymi projektami. W głowie mam zdjęcia mademoiselle Coco, która lubiła łączyć ze sobą te kolory.
